Program areas at Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable
Symposium in 2022, the Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable (formerly the mba Roundtable) annual curricular innovation symposium returned to an in-person event hosted/sponsored by the leavey school of Business at santa clara university on november 3-4, 2022. The gbc Roundtable symposium's theme, innovating with a mission: discovering, defining and delivering your purpose in your Graduate management Curriculum, attracted approximately 110 participants consisting of member and non-member schools along with our affiliate sponsors.
Research four research surveys were also completed in conjunction with our events, to provide our members with increased insight into Graduate management Curriculum issues. Topics that were covered in our 2022 research included learning analytics in the Business school Curriculum, inclusion in the classroom: how are we engaging, organizational structure and staffing survey, and the impact of test optional admissions on gme Curriculum and pre-program requirements. Not only was our research positively received by our membership but received a record amount of media coverage.
Workshops and forums the gbc Roundtable returned to delivering workshops in 2022 both in-person and virtually. These forums serve to convene the industry around important topics impacting the future of Graduate management Curriculum. - on april 7 - 8, 2022, the gbc Roundtable delivered a virtual workship titled, delivering an inclusive learning experience for your gme program, with over 50 registrants. - on september 21 - 23, 2022, the gbc Roundtable presented the virtual forum using learning analytics to drive gme Curriculum innovation. The event was highly successful with close to 70 registrants. - prior to the symposium, the gbc Roundtable delivered an in-person workshop with over 30 attendees entitled, moving from episodic to continuous Curriculum review and innovation: a new perspective on gme Curriculum management. The gbc Roundtable served in an advisory capacity and delivered content for three breakout sessions for the annual leadership conference in partnership with the Graduate management admission council (gmac) in june 2022. This is an ongoing partnership. To expand its reach the gbc Roundtable maintains partnerships with gmac, executive mba council, forte, part-time mba affiliate group, the association to advance collegiate schools of Business, leaders of experiential project-based education, mba career services council, and the european foundation for management development. The gbc Roundtable delivered, or partnered to deliver, 10 webinars in 2022 with over 500 attendees. In partnership with member schools and affiliate sponsors, topics included three featuring our 2021 innovator award winners, two focusing on the growth of micro credentials in partnership with gmac, and others including ai scoring of assessments, strategy execution: an incomplete component of Business education?, and developments driving Graduate Business education Curriculum change during 2021. Webinars provide the mba Roundtable with opportunities to expand our reach and awareness, as well as provide year-round educational benefits for our membership.
