Program areas at Los Angeles Innocence Project

The organization provides legal representation for wrongly convicted or imprisoned individuals, as well as provide education to various parties in order to improve the criminal legal system. This is accomplished by pro bono investigatory services and legal representation to indigent individuals who were convicted of crimes. The organization will also bring awareness and provide education of the inherent problems within the judicial system to local and state lawmakers that have led to wrongful convictions and how to avoid these problems in the future.
