Program areas at Literacy Trust

Literacy intervention - accounts for the activities of the Literacy intervention services provided by Literacy Trust. Our current Literacy intervention programming include reading rescue. Reading rescue is a daily, one-to-one, 30-minute Literacy intervention for elementary students, and a professional development program for school staff members. Students in first and in some schools, second grade receive additional support in reading, writing, and speaking from a trained reading rescue instructor. Any member of a school's staff (paraprofessional, teacher, coach, librarian, and in some cases cbo partner staff) can receive professional development to deliver the research based instruction that helps accelerate struggling readers' Literacy skills.program development - accounts for the activities related to enhancing current and developing new Literacy intervention service offerings.
