After school programs:in 2017-2018, leap provided 28 full-service after school programs, in conjunction with the nyc department of youth & community development and the new york city department of education. These programs serve both elementary and middle school youth in the bronx, brooklyn, and upper manhattan - served roughly 3,000 students from september to june. Program offerings across all school-based programs spanned Arts enrichment, academic enhancement, leadership development, and athletic development. All programs concluded with culminating shows, with both school and community members present.
Family workshops & professional development:in 2017-2018, leap worked with 160 schools across the five boroughs of nyc to provide Arts in education programs to nearly 20,000 students. During the year, leap provided these schools with more than 400 individual residencies and approximately 4,500 individual days of service. All residencies end with a culminating event designed to display the Arts and academic skills learned by participants.
