Lakewood Study Square is purchasing a property and renovating it to provide a new state of the art senior center, which will serve as a community focal point for Lakewood's older adults. Currently, there are many seniors in Lakewood, many of them women, and many who live alone. They are in need of social interaction during the day. The senior center will provide participants with higher levels of health, social interaction, and life satisfaction. It will allow the participating members to stay safe, active, healthy and independent.
