Adoptionthis year Kitty Bungalow adopted out 549 kittens and Cats. Our trained and dedicated volunteers provided care and socialization to the feral kittens turning them from frightened ferals to loving lap Cats. Our online presence, networks of supporters and volunteers help us find loving homes to kittens that would otherwise end up living on the street and contributing to the over population of feral Cats in los angeles. All kittens and Cats adopted out by Kitty Bungalow receive all needed medical care including spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chipping and flea treatments. As part of the adoption program, adopters receive education on acclimating their new pets into their family and are encouraged to contact Kitty Bungalow for post adoption support when needed. We also follow-up with every adopter to ensure a good match has been made and that everyone is acclimating well prior to considering the adoption complete.
Working catsthis year Kitty Bungalow's working cat program rescued 307 adult feral Cats deemed unadoptable from city shelters. This program provides medical care such as spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, and micro chipping for these Cats. The Cats are placed into homes in need of ecologically friendly rodent mitigation solutions. The Cats live out their lives doing what they love in exchange for room & board.
Trap, neuter, return (tnr)this year Kitty Bungalow trapped 1,270 Cats living on the streets of los angeles and provided them with vaccinations, spay/neuter and other medical procedures. These Cats are homeless and living in colonies cared for by generous people that provide daily meals and water. An important part of the tnr program is educating the colony caretakers on the importance of ending the needless births of more street Cats by having colonies spayed and neutered. Our services are provided free of charge to these caretakers.
