Phase i - investigating the cellular origin of resident cardiac stem cells (cardiospheres) and clinically isolating them and preparing to determine their biology so that they might be infused into heart attack victims.phase ii - investigating into the significance of circulating endothelial progenitor cells in patients undergoing primary coronary interventions with drug-eluting stents and collecting data on endothelial progenitor cells at the time of these procedures.phase iii - continuing the randomized evaluation of intracoronary transplantation of bone marrow stem cells in acute myocardial infarction characterized by st segment elevation and transmural infarcts. Investigation of microvascular ischemia in systemic lupus erythematosus and ascertain improved, accurate diagnostic procedures.treatment of coronary artery disease, especially revascularization of the left main coronary artery (percutaneous coronary intervention in unprotected left main disease).evaulation and treatment of chest pain caused by microvascular ischemia for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and publish results.educational publication for multifacet treatment of atrial fibrillation by medication and device.classification and characterization of complex coronary artery stenosis morphology by coronary computed tomographic angiography.due to the recognition of dr. Jay N Schapira's (the president of the Foundation) accomplishments and Research, he was appointed a clinical professor of medicine at the cedars-sinai heart institute in may 2014.
