Program areas at The Interoots Initiative

The Interoots Initiative partners with projects both domestically and internationally. Interoots works with communities - on their own terms - as they develop and implement sustainable solutions for self-identified needs. In pursuit of this mission, Interoots works as a partner and facilitator, assisting in The development of systems of accountability unique to partner projects, and working to remove barriers between communities and The resources they need to achieve change. Ultimately, Interoots steps aside once a project is finanically independent, thus redefining The legacies of charitable giving. Rather than designing, implementing and evaluating projects from The top down, Interoots believes that communities know best what they need, and can accomplish these steps from The roots up.
