Certification - the iaahpc Animal Hospice and Palliative Care ("ahpc") certification program is the first of its kind, certifying professionals all around the world to be able to better serve the families and pets that deserve such elevated Care. The ahpc social work certificate program standardizes and defines the skills and knowledge required of individuals and organizations offering Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, and establishes a standard of Care for these services that will reflect a level of excellence achieved by those individuals who have obtained the ahpc social work certificate.the 2022 graduates of the ahpc certification included 28 veterinarians and 6 veterinary technicians/nurses from the us, australia, and canada. The graduation occurred at our annual conference - and the networking and fellowship opportunities were enthusiastically embraced.
Conferences - iaahpc holds an annual conference for veterinarians to learn more about Hospice and Palliative Care as well as growing their businesses. The event features many sessions with speakers with expertise in Hospice and Palliative Care, business, human interaction, self-care, and palliated death.approximately 325 people participated in our annual conference which was virtual in 2022. The conference program included more than 30 sessions of educational content for all members of the interdisciplinary team. Sponsor partners were crucial to our success and we gave them valuable opportunities to get to know our members.
