Indiana healthy homes alliance - ike is the facilitator for a coalition consisting of local and state organizations, community nonprofits, grassroots organizations, weatherization specialists and many others who work with healthy homes in Indiana.

Indiana asthma-friendly schools recognition programschools can do a lot to provide a safe and healthy Environment for students and staff who suffer from asthma. In an effort to better define and encourage the adoption of these measures, ike with support from the Indiana state department of health and the Indiana department of education developed an asthma-friendly recognition program for schools. In 2017 the program was implemented as a pilot but will be fully operation for the 2018-19 school year. Participants in the program receive guidance (from ike and isdh) throughout the year in addition to resources to help them implement some of the criteria.

Asthma friendly healthy homesaddresses children with poorly controlled asthma by providing intensive self-management education followed by a home visit to identify and suggest remediation measures for any asthma triggers that might exist there. Families are also given a healthy home kit containing items that help them to maintain an as asthma friendly home like a vacuum, bed and pillow covers and green cleaning supplies. The program has been adopted by the marion county public health department to whom ike continues to provide assistance.
