Teller County Honorary Deputy

National night out was a huge success as well as the Sheriff's office open house. We had a record number of people for both events. The money we raised for shop with a hero alone was huge, and we were able to help the most number of children ever. Hdsa has never raised that much money for a specific event even when we did our swat weekend shoots. Our coat collection, food drive with the fire departments, and the toy drive were both big events due to the increased need in the community. This years' golf tournament fund raiser was the most money we've ever raised at that event. Probably one of the best events was law enforcement week because it has been a tough couple of years on law enforcement. The huge showing of individuals for the event and the support of all those who attended from Teller County made all the deputies very appreciative as well as the members of law enforcement who attended from the surrounding area. It was a great event this year. We were able to raise the money to purchase vests and high impact plates and updated radios for all the reserves as well as the thermal imaging monocular and ert microphones for patrol along with the replacement of the cracked windshield on the bear cat, and the entire vehicle was repainted. The hdsa also purchased all the uniforms for new posse and reserve members who assist in many of the events in Teller County which allows the deputies and officers of the tsco to concentrate on law enforcement duties.
