In 2022 Holyoke Community Childcare Initiative made significant progress to further serve community members. In 2021 a new 11,500 sq ft childcare facility was designed, sent for construction bids and funds were raised. The facility included 2 Infant Rooms 20 infants, 2 Toddler Rooms 30 Toddlers, 2 Pre-K Room 40 Pre-K, Multipurpose Area and After-School Opportunities 20 afterschool along with a Full Commercial Kitchen, Separate Playgrounds, Basement- Storm Shelter and Fire Sprinkler. The new facility will serve over 100 kids birth to school age and create 16 FTE jobs.
