Program areas at Historic Hudson River Towns

Historic Hudson River Towns, Inc. serves as the lead agency in development of the Sing Sing Prison Museum. Located on the grounds of Sing Sing Prison in the Village of Ossining, the Museum will tell the history of 200 years of American penal history, serving to stimulate tourism to the river towns and the Hudson Valley region.
Historic Hudson River Towns was invited to participate in two U.S. Coast Guard Port and Waterway Safety Assessment workshops as a result of our leadership role in expressing concern on behalf of our member communities on the proposal to designate 43 new anchorage locations to facilitate new commercial barge activity on the Hudson.
Historic Hudson River Towns, Inc. continued its involvement with 20 NGOs to finalize the Hudson River Comprehensive Restoration Plan and participated in the organization and facilitation of three Community Resilience Building workshops in communities along the Hudson River as part of the HRCRP implementation strategy.
