Program areas at Habitat for Humanity - Henderson County Habitat for Humanity

HCHFH provides highly rated affordable new housing and repair services to individuals and families meeting our qualifications who are in need. Due to pandemic effects extending through this FY 21/22 (i.e. shortage on supplies and labor), construction and repair productivity continued to be adversely affected. HCHFH built and sold 3 homes and repaired 3 homes in Henderson and Polk counties and Landrum, SC. The new homes were purchased by African American families with a total of 9 family members (3 adults and 6 children). Repair work was performed on homes inhabited by 5 adult Caucasians. Multiple other homes were started during this time period but were not completed and sold. Contributions totaling $32,310 cover our Annual Tithe and Stewardship Fee to HFHI and quarterly tithes to Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina.
HCHFH's four ReStore locations provided high quality furnishings, dcor, and home essentials at a low cost to several thousand individuals and families. . At this point, the Affiliate is exceeding its goals for FY 2023 in both new home sales and repairs.
