Helping Hands Nutritional Services

Helping Hands nutritionals Services, Inc. (hhns) is a not-for-profit corporation whose primary activity is serving as a sponsoring organization of day care homes under the child and adult care food program (7 cfr, part 226), under section 17 of the national school lunch act. This service is provided through the south carolina department of social Services. The organization's service area is the state of south carolina; its office is located at 306 laurens street nw, suite c, aiken, south carolina. As a sponsoring organization, hhns trains and monitors day care homes in nutrition for children in day care settings. The organization acts as an agent of the state for reimbursing day care homes for approved menu nutritious meals served to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers, adult day care centers, outside-school hours care centers, at risk after school programs, family and group day care homes and emergency shelters.
