Gurls Talk

Gurls Talk seeks to fulfill its mission by creating and sustaining platforms, including online, where girls can openly share their experiences and feelings in a safe and trusting environment, and by providing girls of all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds access to resources they can use to empower and inspire themselves and each other. Gurls Talk strives to create a community of girls from all different backgrounds from across the globe, looking beyond external differences, and focusing on the essence of what it means to be a girl in the 21st century. By coming together, girls can become individually and collectively stronger and positively, and powerfully, impact on the world.in 2023, the following specific programs were carried on:coach in your corner: a yearlong program to train sports coaches of adolescent girls in mental health literacy;psychoeducation: free accessible mental health resources;community submissions: essays, art, poetry submitted by community members to express their experiences;campaigns: advocacy campaigns to de-stigmatize mental health topics;community events: convening community members from in-person panel discussions, activities and mental health trainings; andpodcast: conversations with guests about topics related to mental health and identity.
