The Association reviewed and implemented revisions to its governing documents to promote good goverance. The Association also began an extensive process to assess the issues currently confronting the industry, including its workforce and employer needs, and evaluating specific issues in the industry benefit funds which affect employers and employees in the industry.
Promotion and improvement of the unionized industry of fabrication, manufacturing,erecting steel and other metals for building and other structures, rigging machinery installation, conveyor systems, and fence erection through research, advertisment, labor-management cooperation events, labor relations and collective bargaining.
