May 2023: conducted field work with communities, schools, and local stingless bee producers in guatemala and mexico, home to the endangered "mayan bee". Facilitated the launch of the san lucas tolimn's first cooperative of farmers as a vehicle for creating avenues to drive alternative income for local communities and Global climate solutions through pollination (https://vimeo.com/xxx-xx-xxxx); inspiring other organizations to implement the solution we promote: httpsnewsinamericacompdccnoticias... Promoted the importance of the stingless bee (endemic to the area) at the yucatan fair and on national media outlets, in partnership with a local cooperative of female stingless bee producers from the mayan community of xcunya, engaged in rescue, conservation and production of the native stingless bee. Participated in the philippines department of agriculture's 2023 "sustainable challenge award", presented to local Institute partners leading stingless bee enterprise development for local communities. Met with school in thailand to share research findings and perspectives with the students and professors pioneering the country's first pedagogical stingless bee program enabling environmental leaders.
