Program areas at Giant Steps
Operation of a therapeutic day school for students with Autism and related developmental disabilities to enhance academic, language, sensory, motor, and social skills of it students with a goal of enabling them to maximize their individual potential and lead productive and independent lives. The school year consists of two semesters and a summer program. There were approximately 160 students enrolled at the end of the school year.
Canopy - Adult services for clients over 21 year old. This service is funded through private pay or private insurance.
Ancillary programs consist of A Rec Center for recreational activities after regular school hours, on holidays, and during vacations. B Therapy program for additional therapeutic services offered after regular school hours, which are open to both Giant Steps and Non Giant Steps clients. C Autism Training Center which provides development for educators, first responders, and other professionals. All of these services are funded through private pay or private insurance.
