Georgia Dental Association Foundation For Oral Health

The Foundation improves the image of dentistry through highlighting the impact on individual lives provided by dentists committed to the healing and overall wellbeing of patients. This is accomplished through the Georgia mission of mercy charitable initiative - a two-day, no charge Dental clinic sponsored by the organization. Immediate, free access to Dental care for over 2,000 low and no income adults. Education is provided to patients and their family members about the importance of optimal Oral Health and securing a Dental home. This raises awareness of the barriers to available Dental treatment for low-income georgians and challenges patients, policymakers and Dental professionals to work together to improve the Oral Health of all georgians. The 2018 event provided almost $1.5 million in care and nearly 9,200 Dental procedures.
