The Foundation owns and manages the 6,134 acre runaway creek nature preserve in belize. Four trained bwb/asf staff of belize manages the property and the research that is carried out on the property.research projects in process on rcnr are:1. Primate research conducted by the university of calgary.2. Jaguar research conducted by omar figueroa, a ph.d. Candidate from the university of florida.3. Bat research conducted by the biodiversity research international (bri).4. Migratory bird census conducted by bwb/asf.5. Mercury monitoring in neotropical migratory birds with bri.6. Botanical research by the belize botanical gardens and green hills farm.7. Runaway creek camp chair project, a minor fundraising project to support rcnr.projects in wisconsin:1. Conducting bird census on lake pewaukee properties.support of international Conservation projects:1. Lewa Wildlife conservancy usa/kenya; dr. boese serves on the usa board of directors, chairman of program committee and conducts safaris on kenya site.2. Dian fossey gorilla fund international; dr. boese serves on the board of directors , past chairman of the board, and conducts mountain gorilla treks to encourage support for mountain gorillas.
