In 2022, First Shift advocated for improvements to D.C.'s paid leave benefits program and the passage of a D.C. domestic workers bill of rights, which was finally passed in December.
In 2022, First Shift trained D.C. area medical providers in 13 presentations about the workplace rights of their patients; specifically, how to document their patients' needs for on-the-job accommodations and leave from work.
