Family Hospice and Palliative Care

The organization's operations were transferred to HNA VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION effective September 2016. HNA is now doing business as Family Hospice & Palliative Care. The operations that were transferred to HNA are as follows. The organization provides hospice and palliative care and support to terminally ill patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay. Services include general assistance, education, emotional and bereavement services, and symptom and pain management. The organization provided care to patients consisting of visits by physicians, nurses, social service staff, counselors, and therapy and bereavement staff. Also, the organization provided uncompensated mandatory care to patients. This included services provided by physicians, nursing, counseling and bereavement, in addition to pharmaceuticals, supplies and durable medical equipment. The organization also offers complimentary services and provides programs to benefit the community. Patients received art, massage and music therapy as a supplement to traditional hospice and palliative models of care. These adjunct services promote comfort and create alternative ways of expression, affirming life, palliating symptoms and affording relaxation.
