Program areas at Extended Family
Extended Family for Kids (EFK) & Extended Leadership Academy (ELA): Led 48 EFK/ELA Program Groups in 8 Cherokee, Calhoun, Etowah, and DeKalb Counties, Ala., both schools and juvenile diversion programs. Each EFK Program Group includes 9 lessons. 2023 EFK & ELA Program Enrollment= 553; Led 5 EFK Leader Trainings in Dekalb, Jefferson, Montgomery, and Etowah Counties, training 83 to start EFKSee Schedule 0 for additional description of program accomplishments.
Family Services Program: Year-round support for families of prisoners, resource database on web site, news, events, social media, and one-on-one support answering questions and providing information. Serviced 17 family members from 11 USA states.
Re-Entry Services Program: We did not lead the Going Home Workshop inside prisons in 2023. In Oct-Dec. 2023, we began the planning phase for a new day Re-entry Program to service Cherokee, Etowah, and DeKalb Counties, which will launch in 2024.
