The second oldest festival in the nation celebrating George Washington's birthday, GeorgeFest, was first held in 1902 and continues to celebrate the city's history by bringing local and out-of-town visitors. GeorgeFest is the second oldest festival in the nation celebrating George Washington's birthday. The first festival was held in and continues today. The festival celebrates the city and its history.
