Program areas at EFF
Managed and paid all operating costs of a Golf Driving Range owned by the Village of Estero. The Village received all revenue. After deducting overhead expenses and $1,000, they distributed back the surplus to cover the Foundation's operating costs, overhead, and eventual Grants, other beneficial Community Projects and Charitable needs. This activity started in July 2022 under the sponsorship of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Inc.(Collaboratory) EIN 59-6580974. The Foundation applied for its own 501(C)3 status anticipating that this project would end September 2023 due to Village planned use of the land for other purposes. Plans were delayed and continued to April 30, 2024.Income exceeded expectation. See Sched. O

The Foundation under a letter of understanding with the Village of of Estero May 13, 2023 to oversee amd secure five (5) acres adjacent to the Estero River. Reclamation of a landmark resoratioon of a building was investigated incurring some limited costs. The building was eventually demolished in February 2024. The Foundation continutes to provide oversite of the propery at 8801 Corkscrew Road, Estero, Fl 33928.
