Ellison Center nurtures hope and joy, strengthens families and enriches communities through innovative programs. We offer virtual training sessions called "Lunch and Learns" at a low cost to professionals in the field of infant and early childhood mental health. Thanks to grants from various foundations, we provide parenting support services both virtually and in-home to families facing barriers accessing mental health services. Program areas at Ellison Center

Therapy/mental health services total of 8 clinicians are providing mental health therapy sessions to over 325 clients, 70% of those are children age 5 and under that have been impacted by early childhood trauma. Expanded referral relationships and collaborations with local professionals who impact the lives of children and caregivers.
Parenting support services received grants from united way of central mn, morgan family foundation, otto bremer foundation, and medica to provide in-home or virtual sessions to families that have barriers to accessing mental health services. Have served over 25 families, 10 of them spanish speaking who would not have gotten services except for through this program. Fundraised $22,300 to prepare for expanding the office to include five additional therapists over the next year.
Training/reflective consultation we proved 3 virtual trainings, called lunch and learns, that were offered at a very low cost to professionals in our community and across the state that are in the field of infant and early childhood mental health. We had about 95 attendees at each session. These will be continued to. Be held at least three times per year. Secured contracrts with 18 agencies to provide reflective consultation services to their staff to support and provide professional development to professionals supporting young children and their families. Providing mental health consultation to a domestic violence shelter to support their advocates who are supporting the moms.
