Program areas at Covenant Ministry of Hope
Congregational carecongregational care Ministry provides information for the staff, prayer team, and congregation about births, deaths, and marriages. It tracks the care provided to the congregation for specific needs. It sends cards to people in those situations, as well as to people going through a life difficulty. The program members make hospital visits, home visits, and rehab center visits. It walks families through the death of a loved one and leads in providings either a funeral service or a memorial service. It provides resources for the grieving of an elderly person, as well as material for families grieving because of the loss of a child. It also provides meals to people who have expressed a need for them, as well as providing financial assistance through the compassion fund.
Prayer ministriesthe prayer Ministry's objective is to take every need presented and offer it to the lord through prayer. The praper Ministry operates on several different fronts. Weekly, the Ministry meets to pray over requests received during the three weekend worship services at Covenant church. On average, the team prays over roughly 50 requests following these services. The team also meets weekly to pray for Covenant church, greenville, nc, and beyond. Additionally, at each Covenant church service, the Ministry has 35 prayer counselors to pray for and with individuals at each worship service. Roughly 60 people serve to accomplish the prayer Ministry's objective.
Counselingthe counseling Ministry provides care for individuals in pitt county and eastern north carolina through several different areas of care: professional biblical counseling (crisis and assessment), pre-marriage counseling, emotional healing prayer, freedom in christ, mentoring, and grief care. The counseling Ministry offers professional care six days a week. The counseling Ministry provided over 850 hours of care to over 375 individuals.
