Communities Moving Forward

During 2022, we provided affordable housing to veterans in our Northern California properties, as well as donated goods, services , and food to veterans and their families. We expanded our mentoring to up and coming non-profits in the areas of structuring, volunteerism, and program development. Began research and discussions with educators on apprenticeable standards as well as adapting our instructor curriculum into new fields. Continued with raising awareness of pet therapy while bringing trained dogs to community events. Expanded our therapeutic workshops for veterans as well as provided volunteers to charitable events such the ATT Pro and pure insurance championships in Monterey County. We continued with translating our health and nutrition curriculum into French and Spanish which is now finalized and will be released in 2024. In San Diego County, we increased occupancy of our homes to 85% while most importantly, keeping housing costs well below the National increase in utility and inflation costs for the year. This was a huge boost to our residents, most of whom are below the poverty line and cannot afford huge inflationary housing cost spikes. We continued with a paced expansion of our life skills, and vocational preparation services while anchoring into assisting formerly incarcerating individuals into securing food sources, government Ids, medical services, and generally assimilating back into the general population.
