Program areas at CSC

The 2017-18 season marked CSCs 50th Anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, CSC presented five Mainstage productions: Shakespeares AS YOU LIKE IT (directed by John Doyle) and TWELFTH NIGHT (a co-production with Fiasco Theater); the World Premiere of Terrence McNallys FIRE AND AIR (directed by John Doyle); a revival of Tennessee Williams SUMMER AND SMOKE (a co-production with Transport Group); and the critically acclaimed revival of CARMEN JONES, books and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II (directed by John Doyle). In addition to our Mainstage season, we presented two childrens productions: THE STOWAWAY a world premiere by the acclaimed Trusty Sidekick Theatre Company written for ages 5+ and continued with our Young Company program with a production of Shakespeares JULIUS CAESAR. Other Education programming included our award winning inschool workshops, bringing Shakespeare to over 4,000 teenagers as well as our NextGen teen leadership program.
