Civil Rights Education and Enforcement including litigation resulting in: an extension of the most liberatory order a court has ever entered against ice (resulting in the release of thousands of medically vulnerable detained immigrants at risk from covid-19); communication improvements for prisoners with disabilities; continued accessibility improvements to the curb ramps and sidewalks in cities across the country; the creation and dissemination of self-advocacy materials to d/deaf people to be able to enforce their Rights in medical settings, along with letters sent to medical providers who were violating the ada by refusing to provide an interpreter (amongst other violations). We have also formalized our legal advocacy and technical assistance (lata) work, which is the gateway for individuals and grassroots organizations to access creec's specialized expertise, legal advocacy, and support for movement work.
