Citizens First

Since 2011, the president of Citizens First, dr. amarit singh and his wife, jagdish, have traveled to india six times. There they have met with local officials throughout the region, conducting site visits and determining the needs for advanced water purification systems, designed to convert dangerously infected waters to a safe drinking and bathing source (i.e. Converting to potable water). The costs are estimated to be approximately $10,000 for each system. To date, the organization has expended $25,142 in water filtration systems that are now in place and has since identified a number of additional worthy sites that are indesperate need of such systems, for which it has amassed tools and supplies. Dr. and singh continue to travel extensively, yet inexpensively, by staying with friends, family and local officials during their trips.
