Program areas at CPSC
CPSC provides professional services and supervision for AMFTs working toward their California State license. Associates learn how to run their own private practices in compliance with CA Board of Behavioral Science BBS regulations and standard business and administration practices. Up to 19 AMFT associates provided one-one mental health counseling to more than 97 children and adults in calendar year 2022. Each therapist averaged four weekly counseling sessions per month with the same clients. Each therapist averaged a total of 30 sessions per month for a total of 570 sessions; 6840 client sessions the the 2022 calendar year.
All CPSC AMFT associates now provide tele-health therapy services for clients. Eight of the 19 associates rent an office to also provide in-person therapy for clients. The benefits of tele-health services remains clear: cost effective convenient for clients and therapists and scheduling flexibility. Tele-health is also compatible with AMFT's individual and group supervision needs and BBS requirements.
In 2022 CPSC provided two specialized trainings in the series Expanding the Therapy Toolbox for AMFT associates. The first training subject was Focusing and the second Scaling for Anxiety and Depression. In addition individual sessions were provided on private practice marketing bookkeeping and client billing.
