Artist Sponsorship Program-CENTER served as a sponsor for visual storytellers and project based initiatives.Attorney and visual storyteller Debbie Espinosas project Living with Conviction leveraged legal empowerment to advocate for an end to court imposed debt for the formerly incarcerated. Kurt Markus Scholarship program offered a hands on workshop and travel expenses to the photographer.
The Center Award online. The CENTER Awards highlighted outstanding photographers working in all processes in 4 categories.Environmental Award, Social Award, Personal Award and the Excellence in Multimedia Storytelling Awards.An outside jury selects a first place for each category. An Honorable Mention was provided to 2 Social Award recipients .On average ,more than 7000images representing up to 25 countries enter the annual awards. Winners receive Review Santa Fe admission and presentation of winning project, mentorship, exhibition at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in 2023, pulication with Lenscratch and an online exhibition at VisitCenter.org. Review Santa Fe Photo Symposium is a conference that brings together photographers industry leaders for a weekend of portfolio reviews, networking, career advancement, creative inspiration. The event consists of approximately 800 portfolio reviews with esteemed curators, publishers,gallery directors editors from all over the country, as a result of these sessions photographers have received exhibitions, publication many more professional opportunities. Over 60000.00 in scholarships has been awarded since its inception in 2001.Number of people benefited60 photographers 35 reviewers. Number of visitors to the open Portfolio Walk350.
