Cambria School of Excellence

Cambria School of Excellence continues its program of excellence in the following ways: We traveled internationally with 48 people, including 80% of the senior class.We spent 10 days in Ghana West Africa and traveled to three major cities with locations of historic importance. In March 2023 we again hosted our Black History Museum.Every room and halls of the main building had displays and classrooms had live entertainment.Amongst them was a tribute to 50-years of Hip-Hop, a Jazz Band and show girls from the cotton club, poetry readings etc. Displays included topis such as reparations, African Countries before, during and after colonization and present day progress etc. Our eighth grade top students sat for the NYS Regents for ninth grade students in algebra and living environments and all passed. Our community give-back program of Hashtag Lunch Bags took place over one Sunday per month. Students had the opportunity to pack food with inspirational notes to be donated to the Southeast Queens Food Pantry.
