Program areas at Black Thistle Street Aid
This year Black Thistle Street Aid (btsa)saw many growths. Btsa was able to provide services to over 2,000 people at 40 locations in our community. Btsa made 450 referrals to social, legal, medical, and substance use programs. Medical care was provided to 181 patients, and 165 life saving prescriptions were given, while there were 195 wounds and 38 abscesses cared for. Btsa handed out over 1,200 first Aid kits to community members, and 65,000 harm reduction supplies were distributed. Our small but mighty volunteer team put in over 1,500 hours of time
