Program areas at BHHC

Bhhc's clinical program accomplishments in 2016 included individual, family, and couples counseling; training one doctoral intern; transitioning to therapy notes, an electronic medical records system (emr) for mental health providers; and moving to a new location. In addition, we completed a 6 month training cohort entitled "lean concepts for non profits" offered through a grant from the forbes funds, transitioned to a new accounting team, and participated in fourcfc fundraising events.
In 2016, bhhc's women veterans and military families' program focused on completion of our 18 month "women veterans post-traumatic growth project" grant from the pa dmva. This was accomplished on 11/30/2016. Through this grant, we served 30% more veterans, active duty service members, and military family members than proposed in the grant agreement, and distributed copies of "a balance Heart: 10 weeks to breakthrough" at no charge. Dr. mccorkle was the mental health staff person on a wounded warrior project couples' retreat, provided group counseling services at veterans place of Washington blvd and spoke at the veterans day luncheon at the commmunity college of allegheny county (ccac) boyce campus.
