Ascension Living Via Christi Village Hays

The filing organization is a part of the Ascension catholic health ministry. Ascension is a faith-based healthcare organization that delivers personalized, compassionate care to all, especially to those who need it the most. Conveniently located across from Hays medical center, Via Christi Village in Hays (vcvh) provides a continuum of care to residents that maximizes dignity and independence. Rooted in the catholic tradition of caring, our community is continually developing and adopting new best practices in care that enhance the experience of our residents, program participants and patients. The staff is committed to promoting the well-being of those we serve through the delivery of quality care. Vcvh offers assisted and healthcare services, 39 assisted Living apartments in a variety of floor plans with an average occupancy in 2024 of 39 or 100.0%, and a 96-bed health care center with an average occupancy of 84 or 87.2%. In 2024, 12,799 days of care were provided to medicaid recipients; 3,562 days of care were provided to medicare recipients. As a faith-based continuing care retirement community, the Village offers on site pastoral care and religious services, as well as outstanding dining and life enrichment activities. All accommodations allow residents easy access to Living areas and the opportunity to nurture new friendships. Approximately $14,273 of charity care was also provided.
