American Postal Workers Union 229 unites postal employees in a democratic labor union, promotes economic welfare of the working class everywhere, aids in the betterment of the Postal Service and provides union representation to its membership. It organizes the bargaining unit through social functions, membership recruitment, incentives, sale or gift of organizational materials, etc. The union educates and communicates with its members through printed material, training programs and membership meetings.
