The mission of the friends of Utah County children's Justice Center is to foster and support the Utah County children's Justice Center program (cjc) through raising private and public funds to provide services in behalf of abused children and their families the cjc seeks to reduce trauma to child abuse victims by facilitating the criminal justice response with a multidisciplinary team approach and to provide the access for victims in a safe, child-friendly facility known as the Utah County children's Justice Center. Facilitate access to outpatient mental health therapy in behalf of more than 350 child victims and directly impacted non-offending family members. These grants were paid directly to community mental health treatment providers for LMI families that would otherwise not receive critical needed therapy for the child abuse trauma that they have suffered. Additionally, this amount was significantly leveraged to serve as many children and families as possible through the partial donation of these therapists of their services at 50% of the normal fee for services. ($83.290.91 for therapy/counseling fees) additionally, grants totaling $4,428 50 were paid as direct client services for interpreter services to facilitate access to therapy for children and families who were deaf. Grants totaling $7,737 26 were paid to Utah County government in behalf of the Utah County children's Justice Center program for professional services, training and supplies for the use of the cjc program in behalf of child abuse victims. Additionally, $1,014.50 was paid directly to replace vinyl flooring to maintain the child-friendly facility, as a part of our charitable mission the cjc facility is provided for the full use of Utah County government's children's Justice Center program by tease from the friends of Utah County children's Justice Center organization. (a $100 lease fee is paid by Utah County government to validate the lease contract so that full liability coverage for the cjc facility and staff is provided under Utah County government) the depreciation expense for this facility is $20,960 per year. Public awareness information regarding child abuse issues in our community and the services that are provided in behalf of child abuse victims and their families by the Utah County children's Justice Center program was prepared and distributed, as a part of our charitable mission and purpose, with expenses entered in event expenses rather than program service expenses.
