Youthlaunch

We pursue our mission through forging strategic partnerships with school systems, helping them to provide structured opportunities for young people to make a positive difference by helping others - through cross-age peer mentoring, tutoring, college coaching, and related forms of civic engagement and service. One key partnership is with austin independent school district, focussed on stewardship and support of the district's long-established peer assistance, leadership and service peer mentoring program (aka "pals"), and on enhancing youth voice in the district's social emotional learning initiative. Another key partnership is with kipp austin public schools and austin community college, helping the kipp network engage college students as mentors, tutors, coaches and role models for younger, low-income "kippsters."
