Program areas at Yogashield Yoga for First Responders
Instructor schools train civilians first responders and military personnel the YFFR protocol so that they can go back and teach YFFR classes at their local public safety agencies. In 2022 we held Instructor schools. We held events in Castle Rock for 36 participants Ohio National Guard 35 participants Oregon for 27 participants National Guard PEC for 20 participants St. Louis for 25 participants
Digital programming provides online digital resources to first responders through YFFR University and YFFR OnDemand.
In person programming are classes that are offered to agencies and personnel in person. These can be weekly mat classes in service training or training demoes. This program teaches first responders to process stress build resilience and enhance job performance through yoga which is job specific and culturally informed. We taught 1,471 classes to 12,152 first responders for a total of 88,094 minutes of yoga. We also under went a full clinical research study for this program.
