Yes And Collaborative Arts

Summer Theatre and Imagination Camp served 108 children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade over 9 weeks of summer programming in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. Working with their peers and alongside professional artist educators, they built self-esteem through community, and fostered creativity in the building of new plays.

The Shadow Company teen program served 41 teens in 2023, providing them the opportunity to participate in classes, workshops, and intensives leading to their own original production alongside professional artists for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. In addition they attended local Philadelphia theatre performances and had other experiential outings. They also received leadership and job training and were given jobs as Junior Staff in Yes! And's summer camp programs.

The Sort of Thing program served 48 youth aged 9 -18 in the creation and performance of original music theatre pieces. Working with professional artists, the youth worked for over 3 months in the winter to present their first post-Covid staged musical. In the Summer, youth spent a month creating, earning and developing together a musical theatre piece that was produced for an outdoor community presentation in Germantown, Philadelphia. In the fall of 2023, students participated in an ensemble class and initial rehearsals for the next winter musical.
