Contract for sale of miami township old fire station to new buyer was executed in december 2020, with sale completed april 14, 2021. Funds transferred to miami township june 29, 2021. Final buyer will transform the fire station into a comedy club and restaurant, which will benefit the community in additional jobs, income and property taxes, and positive impact on the local tourism industry. Explored re-opening of antioch college's wellness center for several months in 2021, incurring legal fees for negotiations with the college. Ultimately the college decided not to partner with ysdc and re-opened the wellness center on their own in january 2022.
Mills lawn exploration and explored a community dialogue process related to a school levy campaign in summer 2021 that could have resulted in excess assets for the school district. Costs were incurred with preliminary planning work by two consultants. The project was dropped due to community objections and the school levy did not pass, so no excess assets currently exist for the school district.
