Program areas at WFLO
In 2022, the Foundation institute program successfully resumed after being postponed in 2021 due to covid-19, and it continued throughout 2023. The following programs took place throughout the year gccf Cold Chain institute west (tempe, az/january/293 attendees), gccf Cold Chain institute east (atlanta, ga/june/241 attendees), and gccf Cold Chain institute latin america (mexico city, mexico/july/53 attendees). The gccf board was also able to meet face-to-face in march 2023 for their annual strategic board meeting.
Maintain library for research questions by members regarding refridgeration of food and commodities
In 2023, gccf supported 12 international development projects covering 13 countries. We successfully led educational two Cold Chain study tours for delegations from honduras, el salvador, and guatemala and cambodia, thailand, and vietnam to the usa and indonesia, respectively. We completed a variety of virtual and in-person capacity building activities in bangladesh, cambodia, thailand, vietnam, egypt, the republic of Georgia, kenya, morocco, and rwanda, as well as completed feasibility studies in ghana and egypt.
