In 2023 Workers Defense Action Fund (wdaf) worked to improve working conditions for Workers in Texas and to ensure immigrants are treated with dignity and respect. Wdaf worked on pursuing policies at the local and federal level around heat safety, accountability on bad employers and improved working conditions overall. Wdaf led efforts during the 2023 Texas legislative session to push for proactive policies in support of Workers and fight back against anti-immigrant legislation. Wdaf also provided leadership trainings for community members and engaged those impacted by our work in all of our campaigns.
