Program areas at Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture
Visitor Services - Wolfe's Neck Center, oceanfront camping has been an integral part of Wolfe's Neck for over 50 years. While enjoying the camping experiences, guests may enjoy many opportunities to learn about food and farming and building connections to the natural environment. The farm is open year-round and in addition to our campers, Wolfe's Neck is a key contributor to the community offering ongoing educational and recreational opportunities for all ages.
Farmer Training - The initiative is aimed at training the next generation of organic dairy farmers. This initiative was funded, in part, by a grant made in 2014 by Stonyfield Organics and their parent company at the time, Danone. Additionally, the organization has established a formal apprentice program focused on best farming practices in vegetable and fruit production.
Farm-based environmental education - We host engaging and interactive experimental education programming throughout the year. These programs include a summer day camp, field trips and farm school, teen agricultural crew, walk-on programs for casual visitors, and seasonal events designed to connect people of all ages to sustainable agriculture, food, and nature.
