Program areas at Wise Tropics
Building on thirty years of hands-on experience in madagascar, Wise Tropics supports programs that save lemurs, safeguard nature, plant new rainforests, and educate children and adults on the effects of global change. Wise Tropics supports school and other education outreach programs in madagascar that encourage conservation projects. Some of these programs teach the value of the forest and its biodiversity through camping trips, nature walks, and native tree reforestation programs. Wise Tropics also receives contributions from donors for conservation efforts, which is then donated to centre valbio (cvb). Cvb works to protect madagascar's unique and biologically diverse ecosystems through conservation science and projects that directly benefit the local people, including rural health care delivery. Cvb has a world-class research station sited on the edge of madagascar's beautiful and abundant ranomafana national park.
