Program areas at WCO
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's masterworks concert series includes five indoor performances. Approximately 800 patrons attend each performance. Before each masterworks concert, patrons are invited to join us for a pre-concert talk - a lively discussion of that evening's concert. Approximately 200 people attend the pre-concert discussion and approximately 100 people attend the reception following the concert. The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra also presents the messiah to approximately 800 audience members each december. Other program services include revenue from other concerts as well as outreach and youth programs.
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's concerts on the square season includes 6 performances presented free of charge to the public. The performances are held at the state capitol grounds in madison, wi, on consecutive wednesdays each summer. Approximately 40,000 patrons attend each performance.
