The Wiregrass United Way was founded in 1938. We serve 6 counties in the Wiregrass area: Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston. Our daily operations are handled by a small staff of 7 professionals. We are governed by a local Board of Trustees made up of members from each of the counties we serve. Because of generous donations from businesses and individuals in the Wiregrass, we help fund our 44 partner agencies--enabling them to provide valuable services and resources to those in need and making our corner of southeast Alabama a better place for all.
